Tantalum material capacity construction is entering a phase of large-scale expansion. The total investment in the private placement project exceeds 1.2 billion yuan. The hydrometallurgical digital factory has introduced a fully automated control system, enabling unmanned production from ore powder to potassium fluorotantalate. Upon reaching full capacity, the project is expected to generate an additional 860 million yuan in annual sales revenue. The pyrometallurgical production line upgrade includes the introduction of 20 domestically produced vacuum arc furnaces, reducing the melting time per furnace from 8 hours to 3 hours and increasing annual tantalum ingot production from 60 tons to 140 tons.
For high-end products, 20 new tantalum-niobium sheet and strip rolling lines utilize multi-roll rolling technology to produce ultra-thin tantalum foil as thin as 0.01mm to meet semiconductor packaging needs. Annual production capacity is expected to reach 300 tons. The niobium superconducting cavity production line has introduced a robotic welding system, which has increased the product qualification rate from 75% to 92%. After the 400-unit/year intelligent production line is put into operation, it will meet 80% of the domestic scientific equipment demand, freeing my country from dependence on imported products in this field.
